Shinrin-yoku

Most of us don't get nearly enough exposure to nature.  Kids don't play outside as much these days, and we spend our weekends doing chores, errands and shuttling kids around.  When was the last time you took a casual stroll in nature?!? 

What can be done to mitigate this nonstop indoorsy-ness?  Shinrin-yoku (the Japanese word for forest bathing).  Even a few minutes can drastically reduce your stress level and foster the connection we once had -- and are quickly losing -- to nature and provide numerous health benefits.

Watch this one-minute video for a little inspiration and see if you can carve out a few minutes next weekend for some Shinrin-yoku (otherwise known as taking a walk in the woods) yourself!  Let me know how it goes.
